Smoked Salmon Bagels w/cream cheese

Hi all!

It has been a bit since I’ve posted anything and I do apologize. I’m making up for my shoddy attendance by giving you not one, but TWO blog postings this weekend. Things have been very busy for me as of late. I’ve been working hard which usually leaves me entirely exhausted…most days I feel kind of like this…

So considering I had myself an awesome three day weekend, (cheers to you labor day!) I decided it was time to get back on that photo food horse. My co-worker’s father is a great fisherman and a while back she had brought into work a sampling of the salmon he caught and had smoked. I’m not typically a seafood person, although salmon is one of the more mild options out there. This, however, was sent from the gods, as my taste buds declared it to be. Earlier this week she brought more in and bless her heart she decided to give me ALL the left overs.

I immediately scoured the interwebs for a great recipe to use this fine fish for and decided upon something basic. Open faced smoked salmon bagel sandwiches with cream cheese, chives, and onion. Salty, creamy, and punched with flavor. Of course, it would be a good idea to have one of these when you have access to a tooth brush afterwards. They are tasty and those flavors are no joke! Enjoy the images!

Such artful composition! Nice lines in the salmon & the glass plate. Pretty colors all together- checkered cloth, green chives, blue & white bowl, silver spoon,& a weathered. board. Not the same old table! Great textures! Nice shadows!
