I PASSED MID-PROGRAM ASSESMENT!!!!!

Just writing to let everyone know that I have officially passed the UCM photography department’s Mid-Program Assessment. For those of you who aren’t familiar with what this is, it is essentially the deciding factor on a photo student’s progress within the program and whether or not their skills have made them eligible to graduate or continue in the program and not have to take the assessment over again.

The assessment comprised of submitting a portfolio of 15-20 images which were professionally printed and mounted to a panel of six professors. They would then critique our images based on our emphasis area (which for me is commercial) and our technical, creative, personal attitude, and professionalism of our prints and our personal attire.

It was a pretty intimidating experience considering for some people it would make or break their graduation date. I was passed with high marks from all the professors and one professor even mentioned that I had one of the best food portfolio’s they’d seen in a while. That was a huge compliment for me.

I wanted to put my submitted portfolio on here for those who have not yet seen all my work. Some will be repeat images from earlier posts, but that is ok! Enjoy!
